Congratulations for your ride Patrick. Your HD is perfect. I hope you to do the same trip with same scooter next time. Any problem with scooter after 8 days' ride? Hi from Greece (I have SYM HD2 200i). I enjoy little trips with it here. John.
John, thanks for the message. I didn't have any problems that didn't allow me to continue the trip. I did have one case of either bad gas or a bad fuel filter, but it was easily fixed. Eventually, something went wrong with my carb, but I could still make it work at a decent speed. I replaced the carb this week and it runs perfectly again. You shouldn't have to worry about that though, since you are fuel injected! Hope we get FI over here soon!
Thanks for the reply. I really enjoy your everyday descriptions. I wish you more trips on your HD. Indeed the carb. model is better in maximum speed and the injection model in fuel economy (2.9-3 lt/100kms - 100km/h journey). Τwo models have a great reliable motor.
Patrick, Congratulations on a successful Cannonball Run. I was online looking for info about the SYM HD 200 and found your blog. Impressive testimonial.
Keep the tire pressure up & ride safe.

How are you feeling?
ReplyDeleteI feel great. It was good to ride it for an hour or so today, but it's still angry and wants a tune up.
